Tintin Cooper (born Bangkok) is a mixed race Thai-English artist working in both Bangkok and Berlin. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London (2011).
Her works are often humorous, appropriating popular culture icons and memes that are deconstructed across various mediums, such as video, light, installation and painting on household materials such as metal blinds and ceramic tiles.
Most recently Tintin was awarded the prestigious Debra Porch Prize by Creative Australia, to travel to Melbourne to research the images of the AFL (Aussie Rules football) in collaboration with West Space Gallery.
Tintin has screened work at Tate Britain London, Transmediale Festival Berlin, Sydney Biennial and Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh.
Her sculptures and paintings are also in permanent collections of the Staedel Museum Frankfurt, Soho House (London & Bangkok) and Petch Osathanugrah (Dib Bangkok Museum).
