2024 - now

In 2024, TARS Unlimited began a new chapter in the historic neighborhood of Song Wat, a district long shaped by trade, migration, and cultural exchange. Our relocation reflects a conscious move away from the conventional gallery model and into a context where history, community and experimentation converge.

Song Wat, with its layered architecture and networks of merchants and workers, provides both a backdrop and a source of inspiration. Here, TARS Unlimited operates not only as an exhibition space, but as a cultural platform where dialogues and projects connects Bangkok’s creative energy with international perspectives.

This move signals our commitment to working within the city’s evolving landscape: embracing its complexity, amplifying its voices, and fostering encounters between art, place, and community.

Since 2024, the Song Wat building has continued to transform, shaped by the idea that architecture is organic an ever-evolving form that reflects the constant change and energy of Bangkok itself.

2015 - 2023

Before relocating to Song Wat, TARS was based in Phra Khanong, where it took shape as a white cube gallery inside a Bangkok shophouse.

Between 2015 and 2023, TARS produced more than 300 artworks, organized 42 exhibitions, and hosted 6 residencies, bringing together local and international artists. This period established TARS as a space for experimentation and cultural exchange, laying the foundation for the expanded platform it has become today.
