TARS Gallery’s residency program aims to stimulate new perspectives and production, offering invited artists the possibility to displace their practice in a different geography and context.

Our artist in residency - French painter, Yann Lacroix will occupy the space for a duration of 2 months, producing a new series of works titled “Sunset until Sunrise” that continues on his distinct paintings composed of his own memories and familiar lush landscapes.

The interior walls at TARS have been painted a color made from a yellow that Yann Lacroix uses as a background layer for his paintings, mixed with a shade of grey selected from a photograph of Bangkok’s pollution taken by National Geographic Thailand photographer, Ekkarat Punyatara. Creating a color we name “Wild Grass" - the mix of pollution and sunlight.
